That's Miss Carrow to you...

Name: Alecto Carrow
Age/ birthdate: October 31st, 1960 (16 years old)
Bloodline: Pureblood
Wand: 11” Willow with dragon heartstring core.
Pet: Black owl named Aquilis
Boggart: When Alecto see’s a boggart she see’s her brother, Amicus, bloodied and crawling on the floor towards her, screaming in pain because of her own doing.
Patronus: A large, long winged hawk.

Family and biography.

Family: Alecto’s family is not well known. Her mother and father were both purebloods, and she’s now determined to put herself in the history books.

Biography: As a child it was apparent that Alecto wasn’t like the other girls, and her parents weren’t happy about it. She was much more forceful and, instead of being like the other pureblood little girls who wore dresses and played with their hair, Alecto enjoyed playing with toy brooms and throwing a quaffle at the boys. Convincing themselves that she was just going through a ‘stage’, her parents insisted on buying her nothing but the finest dresses and skirts. Yet she still found a way to ride a broom and tackle the boys in the restricting clothing. After she hit the age of eleven and was accepted into Hogwarts she began taking care of herself a bit more, brushing her hair and doing her makeup, but her boyishness continued despite her personal appearance. Due to her ‘impossible ways’, her parents began focusing more on her younger brother, Amycus, than her. They began spending their money on expensive clothing and gifts for him, their attention slipping away from their unruly daughter onto their star son with the ‘realization’ that their daughter was a disappointment and a failure to the family. At the age of sixteen now Alecto is sure to take care of herself, her hair and makeup done and her eating habits right to keep her body in shape, but in a rebel against her parents she’s more wild than ever. She doesn’t blame her brother for being what her parents want when she wasn’t, but she does blame them for not accepting her, and she has every intention on proving them wrong about her future.

Personality and appearance.

Personality: Alecto is sarcastic, sardonic, and sharp tongued. She has her own ways of doing things, and they usually end up in detention or a duel. Her strongest weakness could be considered her pride. She hates to admit that she’s wrong and when she is she’ll fight to the end to deny it. She enjoys attention and doesn’t deny it, and loves proving people wrong. She absolutely hates being judged because she’s a girl, and obviously loves doing things better than a boy can. Despite her harshness, she is capable of being a fiercely loyal friend if someone can get that close. Because of her parents she doesn’t judge people by looks, although she does have a problem with muggle-borns. Witty, sharp, and almost cocky, Alecto Carrow is definitely a woman that you don’t meet everyday.

Appearance: Alecto has long brown hair with intense, chocolate brown eyes, her face an oval shape and her smile, although rare, charming. Her body, due to her constant moving and flying, is fit, but she carries an aura about her that makes it she thinks highly of herse

Diary entry.

So today was quite the interesting day. Apparently that cocky little Gryffindor boy that I was writing about (the one who decided that it was wise to throw me looks from across the potions room) decided that he was going to ask me to go to Hogsmeade with him on Saturday. I tried to let the boy down easy, told him that I was much too good for someone of his status, and I just found out last class that he’s been spreading word about me ever since. Well, obviously, diary, I’m not going to put up with that. I ran into him again in the Great Hall and decided that I was going to confront him about it. The idiot boy began getting loud, and I couldn’t deal with it, I hit him. I really should work on that…

Well, I have detention tomorrow night.

…This morning mother and father sent Amycus another package; I’ve stopped asking what they are. I don’t understand, I love my brother, but he’s just a BOY. He doesn’t do anything special, why the hell would he get everything and I nothing?? I’m trying not to sound selfish here but I am, and it’s starting to really piss me off. At least have to common courtesy to send me a god damned letter once in a while, I’m you’re fucking daughter, last time I checked I live in the same house as you in the summer, my blood is JUST as pure as yours is… it IS yours!! Ugh, I should be used to this, shouldn’t I? Amycus is their little boy, and god forbid I don’t want to curtsey to my bloody father every time I walk into the house. They can kiss my arse. I don’t need them. When I have all my money I’ll be sure they know it…. And they’re not getting a fucking knut.

Third Person

Alecto Carrow walking into the Great Hall, her dark eyes sharp as she scanned the large room. She was obviously looking for someone, and she was catching the eyes of several people from doing so. She began eyeing only the Gryffindor table, her eyes locking on a boy and becoming sharper than before. The nerve of him… does he know who he’s messing with? Well if he did or if he didn’t, it didn’t matter now. Alecto was walking, more like strutting, between the tables, her long brown hair over one shoulder and her attractive yet sharp features making her emotion’s obvious. She was angry. She finally reached him, the green emblem on her robes dull in the flood of red around her. Not noticing how many people were staring at this point she stood behind the boy who was busy speaking to his friend, unaware of her presence behind him.

“She’s a bitch, I swear it! All I did was ask if she would mind going to Hogsmeade, and she gave me this attitude as if she was BETTER than me.”

Alecto’s eyes narrowed and she suddenly grabbed his shoulder, spinning him towards her harshly but refraining from swinging. Her sculpted lips hardly moved as she spoke in a smooth, yet angry voice.

“Listen boy,” She began, “I know this must be difficult for someone of your mentality, but it would be wise for someone like you to keep their mouth shut. I’m telling you this for your own good.” She was trying to be nice and stay out of trouble, but people do NOT speak ill of Alecto Carrow. She felt her adrenaline rush when he suddenly laughed at her, causing her fists to clench. God, she hated being laughed at…

“You know what you’re problem is, Carrow?” He asked her loudly. “You think you’re better than everyone else and you’re not. If anything you’re lower than all of us because of that god damned attitude of yo…”

Alecto’s eyes were burning when he began to speak, but as soon as he said the word ‘lower’ she had enough. Lifting her arm she swung hard, hitting the poor boy square in the jaw so hard he fell to the floor. She ignored the sudden uproar of people yelling in surprise and standing on their seats to see what happened, smoothly turning and striding away, towards the doors into the hallway. He could have said anything to avoid that little episode, but nobody… NOBODY… calls Alecto Carrow ‘low’.
